The President emphasized that he is cancelling his trip to Africa to focus on providing aid and support for the communities in the hurricane’s path.
Biden described Hurricane Milton as potentially one of the worst storms to hit Florida in a century, with winds reaching up to 180 miles per hour and a possible storm surge of 15 feet. This storm could enter Florida from the Gulf Coast and leave on the Atlantic side, crossing the entire state.
